After nearly 10 months hosting A Seeking Heart with Allison Gingras on Breadbox Media - YOU think I would be unfazed by the arrival of a new book in my mailbox. YOU, would however, be wrong -- Really Wrong -- especially when the book comes with the image of Our Lady, Undoer of Knots!!
Marge Fenelon's new book has inspired me to continue my prayer walks - this time as I pray the 9 days of this unfailing novena! I don't know about you - but in my crazy life, I NEED something that bring such hope and promise!! I have so many knots in my life, you'd think I was either a boy scout or a sailor!
I'll write much MORE about the book in the coming 9 days - today I wanted to quickly share my new adventure, as well as my contemplation for the day.
Day One:The Knot of Injustice
As I once again headed out to my yard to pray my Rosary (this time choosing a knotted cord one), I thought of the people and situations that felt unjust to me. People who seem to come up smelling like roses even though you know they are full of .... malarkey. Situations that you have or had no control over that bring great anxiety, worry and doubt, or the memories filled with bitterness and sadness. For each decade I prayed for Our Blessed Mother to undo the knot and help me to trust in God more and more, as well as to embrace the abundant freedom He came to bring me. IT felt good just to admit to myself that these people and situations bring me angst - to confess them (I will bring them to a formal confession next week), and make a decision to forgive where needed and allow God's grace to restore peace in my heart!!
I can't wait to see what tomorrow's reflection brings ... HOPING I can get outside to walk and pray before the rain begins, though being washed as I walk seems so apropos!!
