Faith dressed as Doc McStuffins.
The idea of #SmallSuccess - at least how I see it... is to take an honest look at the last week and find the Graces and Blessings, that can be so easy to overlook with our sometimes critical eye.
Here are mine:
1. Finally celebrated Halloween with Faith - after 4 years of having her in our family - she wasn't sick, it wasn't raining (much), and it wasn't freezing!! We had the added blessing of joining Halloween forces with sister, my cousin and her adorable daughter - who also happens to be my precious goddaughter. There was Guacamole and a few Corona's in the mix - along with a diet cheating Butterfingers (3 of them actually BUT bitesized!!)
2. I had the incredible honor of appearing on This is the Day on Catholic TV - my first TV appearance. Lessons learned: IF you surrender it all to God, and then your first words are WORD SALAD, HE in his Mercy will break your microphone, and allow you to restart!! Also, just because you are NOT THE ONE talking does NOT mean the camera is not on you - and that is NOT THE time to lick your teeth to unstick your gums - occurring because you are so nervous there is just NO SALIVA to be had. Perhaps what I needed was that Light Corona from the night before .... or another glass of water!!
3. The Shower of Roses mystery has been solved -- now it may seem odd that I was actually getting freaked out by the abundance of Roses in my life. IT is not exactly a BAD THING especially when you are a person who associates these always with Our Blessed Mother and St. Therese. However, the plethora of them was a bit discerning ... almost wondered at times if I was being stalked by St. Therese... again NOT A BAD problem to have. It was just a mystery - and I suppose part of my anxious nature wondered if there was some BIG MESSAGE I was missing. The Beautiful answer came with a phone call I had this week with a dear old sweet friend - who told me..."I pray an almost constant novena to St. Therese for you, your family and your ministry". WOW!! That was all I could respond... Wow!! #Blessed
