What a crazy life... a GOOD, but crazy life!! Thank you Jesus!
Here is a quick overview of last week, and peek into my week ahead. The intent for creating this new feature on my blog (besides I am totally stealing it and happily jumping on the MamaCollection LinkUp) is to give readers a snap-shot of Catholicism lived in the every day.
Catholic 24/7 - my new radio show on Radio Cor Mariae has been such a joy to produce, and THIS week, the fun multiplied, when I finally learned how to edit the show!! It is not live, so that gives us an opportunity to smooth out my rookie mistakes - and hopefully make it a more listener friendly experience. We are working on Podcasting the episodes too!
Seeking the Peace of Forgiveness retreat - was held Saturday, at St. Mary's in Waltham. This retreat always blows my mind. To witness the pain and anguish of so many of the participants who are struggling to let go and move on. Those who are grappling with different situations of bitterness and anger discovering for the first time all the tools and gifts the Catholic faith offers to help us heal and find peace again. Lastly those who desperately want to believe can forgive or be forgiven (if only by God). We pray, unwrap the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and study Scripture - we cry, laugh, talk, and then talk some more - eat delicious catering from Tickle My Fancy Faire, and I believe are transformed, if only by a little bit, through this shared experience and encountering Christ in our personal situations.
Homework. YEP, homework. Which will lead right into the next category READING!
One thing college classes provide for a person -- they prove that it is possible to be reading multiple books at the same time. Now I need to write my summation paper, that hopefully proves I can also process this many books at the same time! I am auditing the course - as I definitely feel I need to information but have no real use for the grade. Second bonus, lots of fabulous blog material - how could I not with a course called, "Spirituality and Ministry"!!!
True Confession, I am a Duggar Fangirl. Hard to believe this same station that airs this show of good Christian values, also offers a show that depicts different ways people are sent to the ER because of sex. Good Grief.. anyway - the travel scene from this episode brought back memories of our time in China!
