School Vacation week-- after homeschooling for 10 years, it is strange to have a child in school, and to plan around vacations. I of course, did not plan for it at all, just sort of snuck up on me! So despite being completely unprepared we managed to:
1. Go outside (thank you God for a nice warm day finally in New England). I DON'T do outside, what I won't do for my kids! #INeedAPedicure
2. My hubby was able to bring Faith to Bass Pro Shops, that is like Disney to him!! He has missed their trips because of her new school schedule. They had so much fun -- she came home with a new pink camouflage baseball hat (guess who picked it out). HOW is this my small success... nice piece and quite for ladies' bible study night!! PLUS as a loving wife, I love seeing my hubby happy -- and not home. (hee hee)
Not related to vacation but a long coming decision, that I am happy I made in a bittersweet way:
3. After a year of hosting a local radio show called, Catholic 24/7 - I recorded my last show this week. Taking on my daily show A Seeking Heart on Real Life Radio , as well as other new projects and circumstances in our lives, has made it difficult to give that show my best. I didn't think it was fair to provide a half-hearted product, so finally made the tough decision to close it down. I know that God has done a great many wonderful things with that opportunity including teaching me how to speak into a microphone, keep talking when my mind goes blank, and sharing HIS AMAZING glory over the airwaves. I will forever be grateful to the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate and Radio Cor Mariae in New Bedford, MA.
