#1 - Made friends with a saint!! St. Faustina to be exact. While visiting the Treasures of the Church exhibit at my parish, I became entangled with this theca while venerating Ms. Kowalska.
Fr. Carlos Martins had said that we may encounter a particular saint while venerating the relics who seems to want to be 'your friend' or may seem to be looking to be part of your faith life.
MESSAGE RECEIVED... I have always felt a special bond with St. Faustina, now I guess I can assume she feels the same way. I venerated over 100 more and that particular snafu NEVER happened again ... welcome to the family Faustina!!
#2 - Realized I owed my eldest son, Ian an apology. I have never allowed him to experience disappointment, it was from a place of real love for him but I realize now it was a great disservice to him. Born 2 months premature, I guess I always looked at him as vulnerable - and I have a special place in my heart to protect him. After he experienced his first (hopefully his last) a car accident a week ago - it was apparent, despite my parental shortcomings he was stronger than I ever gave him credit for. Although, If I could go back, I would definitely allowed him those smaller lessons so that he'd been even better prepared for this big one! I am also INCREDIBLY grateful that God heard my prayer for extra Guardian Angels on that particular trip!!
#3 - Got to be the opening act for philosopher and BC professor, Dr. Peter Kreeft. Ok, so he was paid, and I begged to be included! However, and by the grace of God - I DID not know he was in the audience listening, so I did an ok job sharing my thoughts on Radio and the New Evangelization. Then during his talk he gave me a little shout out - specifically to my advice to everyone there to tell someone this Lent that God loves them! Ok, so he didn't know my name BUT... he did remember I had said it, and pointed in my general direction. This LinkUP is to share #SmallSuccess right! I'll take this one!! Hashtag: DayMade
