#1 - MY First Success - is that I started making notes on the draft for this post on Saturday, instead of scrambling to write the entire thing TODAY (Thursday afternoon).
#2 - I got a hug from retired Patriot's announcer, Gil Santos. Who was my Softball coach when I was a young catcher (**Thank you softball and rollerskating for these wonderful tree trunk tings at the top of my legs some people call "thighs").
Sadly, we were both at the funeral of a dear, sweet, gentle, will be very missed man, George Dion. Please take a minute to offer a prayer for his soul - and anyone else you know that has died. We must never forgot truly our obligation to pray for the dead - I sure hope there are still people around who believe in this important work when I die!!
Eternal rest grant unto thee, may perpetual light shine upon them, and may the rest in peace. ~ Spiritual Work of Mercy
#3 - My son, Adam Josef, made his Confirmation. Adam choose his big brother, Ian as his sponsor. I was able to interpret the entire Liturgy for my daughter in ASL, stopping only to wipe my tears as I heard, "John Vianney be sealed with the Holy Spirit," which was quickly replaced by laughter as I heard Fr. Reis (appointed by the Bishop to confer Confirmation) say, as he lifted Adam's mop of bangs, "Where are you in there?"
