Lent is such a magnificent time of mercy and healing - it truly is a time of special and abundant grace.
When I prayed about what I should focus on in Lent of 2014 - FORGIVENESS- kept emerging. At first, it made very little sense to me, as I felt I was pretty solid with this subject. I mean, come on, I give retreats on forgiveness for goodness sakes!
I bare my soul over and over, sharing how I have needed to forgive and how I have needed to be forgiven. In addition I believe in God's mercy and love, and fully accept and cherish His gift of forgiveness. Especially how it is given so beautifully in Reconciliation (big, big fan!).
So what more could there be?
God gave me two CLEAR answers.
Message received, Lent blog was begun.
**So that LENT for 40 days (give or take ... meaning there are more than 40 days from Ash Wednesday until Easter, as well as, my intentions to write every day may - now and then - be derailed). We delved deeper into the Catholic ideas and ideals of Forgiveness (you can use the 'search' box to the right to find more of that journey).
I shared my personal experiences (some painful, some hysterical), many of the profound - right to the heart - Scripture verses that have truly transformed my journey of forgiving, as well as the insights and inspirations of my favorite (life changing) book on forgiveness ~~ >> Forgiveness: A Catholic Approach
