Small Success #1
Held an incredible women's retreat at my parish on Saturday. SEEKING THE PEACE OF FORGIVENESS! This was my first FREE retreat - after being convicted in prayer that charging was limiting who may be able to receive the message God was sharing through me and these retreats. While, of course collecting a fee for attending is necessary to cover the cost of food and hall rental, the Spirit was inspiring me a whole new level of trust. Divine Providence is a real mystical part of the belief in God. If you are going to trust God ... then you need to TRUST GOD!
God, as expected, did not let me down. Over 60 women signed up to attend - many hearts were touched and healed during our morning together. I made new friends, and got to reunion with old friends. The Spirit came in a glorious way - and of course Divine Providence covered the costs of holding the retreat. While I did not walk away with my coffers overflowing - I received just what I needed. More importantly, removing the barrier of an admissions fee, assured that others were able to receive JUST WHAT they needed too!!

Kevin and I, along with about 15 others from our Parish, completed thisDo-It-Yourself 33 day retreat in preparation of Consecration to Jesus through Mary (Marian Consecration). This was my 3rd renewal of the consecration - though I think this was the most prepared I'd ever been. Most likely due to the fact that each week I had to prepare a short presentation for the group - as part of our facilitating the retreat at our parish. It was a treat to prepare for it with some very old and dear friends, and to make some new ones as well (DO you see a fabulous pattern to my week!).
This also coincided with my finishing another 54 day - Rosary Novena - this one for Financial Stability. I realize I still have lots to learn on how to best manage money; but feel I have grown leaps and bounds in the last 6 months. The hope of this novena was more for a continued peace in my heart and perhaps renewed hope in what God is doing with us financially. With a big amazing new project on the horizon, being able to make sound fiscal decisions; and maintain peace and stability is a VERY GOOD thing to pray for! What I love about the 54 day novena is the 27 days of petition followed by the 27 days of thanksgiving - no greater act of trust than to THANK GOD AHEAD OF TIME (as on of my favorite in my Saint Posse, Ven. Solanus Casey, would famous for saying)!

The theme this week seemed to be all about spending time with old friends; while making new ones! Today I choose to share my A Seeking Heart August interview between Sarah Reinhard and I. She's the old friend -- and coming next month you will meet some of my new friends; who are co-authors with me in a new book, co-edited by Sarah called: The Catholic Mom's Prayer Companion (Ave Maria Press)

<<~~~~ THIS KID ... aka Ian
Began college this week!! Yeah !!!
I am so incredibly proud of him. He has begun his studies in Deaf Studies and American Sign Language Interpretation. HE will be amazing in this field - and I AM so thrilled he has finally discovered that is his call as well!!
PRAYERS please as he adjusts to school again!!!
While this is not exactly MY success -- I believe it is directly related to a small success of mine --- MAINLY LETTING GO and LETTING GOD!
I wanted to attend the Arise retreat -- who wouldn't with names like Lisa Hendey; Sarah Reinhard; Jennifer Willits; Brooke Taylor; Fr. Nathan Cromly, CSJ; Ben Walther; and Andrea Singarella being tossed about!
Yet anyone following me this last year knows Church Mice have more available funds than I Do presently!!! I brought it to prayer -- in Mass Tuesday morning, asked a few friends to through up a prayer (a know at least ONE Hail Mary was tossed heavenward) ... and then I let it be. Trusting GOD to either bless it or block it...
WHAT I NEVER ever could have expected was the incredibly generous, out of the blue, offer of remarkable donor to purchase my ticket for me!! YES... someone blew me away by paying for me to attend!! God's surprises never cease to knock my 'hole in the heel' socks off every time!!
THERE ARE 7 SPOTS left ... I will pray you too are blessed to spend this "Grace Well" filling retreat too!!

My Small Success came in my work. I HAVE been in a serious rut. OK Funk... no honestly a mild depression. The holidays don't always do right by me - and I can fight the blues during what should be a joyous time. My Christmas cards have yet to go out (OH yes, I am still holding out hope - someone posted online I have until February something or other as a Catholic to celebrate this season!! SO I see no reason in making use of that - or maybe surprise everyone with a little CHRISTMAS IN JULY! But I will not dwell on 2015 because I have emerged from my "little couch bound, Hallmark movie loving" cocoon to get back into the swing of things. I feel more myself and ready to go where God calls me to and to do what He wills me to!
So THIS week I am celebrating:
So how was your week?
Last retreat for 2015 -- excited to start booking 2016. Visiting different parishes and sharing God's incredible messages of Forgiveness, Trust and JOY absolutely delight my heart!
MY CURRENT JAM!!!!
Another 54-Day Rosary Novena and a Bona-fide Miracle! Prayer works. Trusting in God - takes courage but YOU will never be disappointed!!
After completing my 54 Day Rosary Novena jaunt around the house - I felt compelled to begin another when given a small tattered copy of Rosary Novenas to Our Lady by a stranger when I attended a friend's Ultreya to hear her give her testimony. As one who believes in GODCIDENCES (if you ask me there are no coincidences in life - especially in spiritual matters), there was no way I was going to ignore this invitation from Our Blessed Mother to spend another month and half in prayer with her! The grace and blessings as I close on the last week have already been remarkable ... CLICK HERE to READ about my miracle!!
(*sorry Adoration calls ... need to leave you hanging for a day !! PROMISE It will be worth your wait!! Posting the story Saturday Dec 5th!!)
November 1 - 8th - I spent visiting cemeteries and praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. I have been told by the"Purgatory Lady" Susan Tassone, that the real hot time to be interceding for the Holy Souls is Christmas!!
I have been blessed with MANY of her books to review - so I will be diving into those next week - and reporting in an upcoming blog post!! #StayTuned
