In 2013, our parish offered a 5 -week Marian Consecration. We used Fr. Michael Gaitley's 33 Days to Morning Glory and the sessions were run by our very sweet (on assignment for the Summer) Seminarian, Matthew Gill. *Author Note: Matt is getting close to completing his studies less than 2 years if my math is right - he is an outstanding young man and will make an incredible priest - PLEASE hold him in your prayers!
Today, July 13, 2016 - I will again embark on this 33 day journey with my parish. The sessions this time will be led by myself and my hubby, Kevin (who is in deacon formation - he needs prayers too). We had our first session last night - and it was wonderful to reflect on why we wanted to grow in relationship with Christ through his mother. I know the GREAT blessings this consecration has brought me since 2013; and after each of my renewal of consecrations - including a very special one completed with my Catholicmom.com family.
Here is the short list of Lessons I Learned while Preparing for my Consecration to Jesus through Mary back in July/August of 2013. This preparation time INCLUDED participation in World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro! Which reminds me ... LOOK for some exciting emails and a BIG announcement in the coming week as I revisit that journey - and follow along with this year's WYD in Poland!!
In the meantime I'll revisit those faith-growing lessons of 2013:
