Music that Moves Sarah Kroger

Your Time is always Perfect

I was first introduced to Sarah Kroger by Allison Gingras when she asked me to write about a song of Sarah’s.  What a lovely surprise to be introduced to this talented young lady!  Going through her music to decide which song to write about wasn’t very difficult.  Your Time definitely spoke to me:

Lord, your time is perfect
Lord, so perfect is your time
Lord, your time is perfect
So above and beyond mine

Patience is a Virtue

I am not a patient person, especially when it comes to prayer.  I want my intentions and petitions answered NOW.  Obviously, it doesn’t always work that way and this song was a gentle reminder of the Lord’s timetable when it comes to prayer.

A couple of years ago I started an intense prayer campaign for a special intention.  I was diligent and relentless.  My prayer army consisted of St. Monica, St. Augustine, St. Jospeh, St. Expedite, Our Blessed Mother and occasionally St. Jude.  I was confident my prayer would be answered, but I was also afraid.  I’m not getting any younger and I was fearful that the situation might take years to be resolved.  Was I okay with that?  I was resolved to the fact that time was a problem and that I would have to trust the Lord that His time is perfect.

As it turned out, I received a surprise.  Two years of determined prayer began to show light on the situation.  I was flabbergasted!  I didn’t expect a resolution that quickly.  Listening to Sarah’s song taught me that the Lord’s time is indeed perfect, so above and beyond mine!

Pam Spano: Being Catholic…. Really

I converted to the Catholic faith as an adult over 30 years ago. My conversion story started when I sarcastically said to my Catholic boyfriend at the time, “I suppose if we were to get married, you would want me to convert.” He thought for a moment and said, “Well, I am worried about your soul.”
And so the journey began …
